数学に強い人間ではないので、アバウトな表現なのは許してね
統計は好きだけど、基本ざっくりな理解なので

有意な差じゃないのはその通り。このあたりは運で変わる程度ではある
でも、やっぱ2000以上は堅守できる人もいるし、1500～2500乱高下する人もいるから、そう単純な話でもないかなとも思う。例外値とすればそれまでだけど、普通は200も違えば実力差がわかるくらいの差はあるはずなんよね。それをレート上限上げて最低保証もありとして19以下は一括りなので、マッチ含め相当闇鍋な感じになってる

というより1800あたりが平均の正規分布みたいになってるんでしょ。標準偏差次第だがプレイ人口の60-70%がひしめいてる所だし、2200に境界がセットされた所見ると、正直1800±400以内での変動は、有意な差じゃ無いと思うが。
逆に2200以上は全体の15%程度しかいない、実力者とも言える。
